Women's Lacrosse falls at #8 Marian

(Indianapolis, IN) - Concordia women's lacrosse traveled to #8 Marian on Monday afternoon to continue their road trip. The Cardinals fought hard but fell to a strong opponent 17-6.

 

Michaela Ullery played the entire game in net with 9 saves. Marian jumped out to a quick start with 5 goals until Tara Drinane ended the run with a marker assisted by Madeline Turcotte. CUAA trailed 6-1 after the first quarter.

Madisyn Fox scored just 13 seconds into the second quarter with Taylor Armstrong drawing the helper. However, the Knights continued to convert and CUAA trailed 12-2 at halftime.

 

Late in the third quarter, Madisyn Fox scored her 2nd goal when she curled in from the side of the net. CUAA ended the quarter down 15-3.

Madeline Turcotte converted a free position shot to open the fourth quarter. Madisyn Fox completed her hat trick off an assist by Cecelia Gibson. McKenna VanZant added a free position marker in the final minutes of the game. CUAA fell by a final score of 17-6.

 

Concordia will hold their home opener this Wednesday March 13th against Midland at 1pm.
