Women's Soccer opens up season at (RV) Taylor

(Upland, IN) – Concordia women's soccer traveled to (RV) Taylor on Thursday evening to open their season. The Cardinals found themselves up against a strong opponent and fell 5-0.

 

Hayley Jacobson played a complete game in goal, making 10 saves. Jacobson stayed sharp early with 3 early saves, but Taylor broke through in the 19th minute with a goal. Kendra Lewis fired a shot wide left and Allie Grice had a late shot on goal, but Taylor held a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Hayley Jacobson stayed sharp with more saves in the second half to keep the Cardinals alive. However, Taylor continued to gain momentum with three more goals in the period. The Trojans took a 5-0 win as time expired.

 

Concordia will remain on the road this Saturday when they travel to Bethel at 2pm.
