Women's Soccer falls to Kalamazoo College 2-0

(Ann Arbor, MI) – Concordia women's soccer hosted Kalamazoo College for a non-conference match on Wednesday evening.  The Cardinals showed offensive promise with chances in the Hornets' zone, but Kalamazoo came away with a 2-0 win.

 

Hayley Jacobson played a complete game in goal, making 6 saves.  The Cardinals attacked early with a corner kick and a strong shot on goal from Danielle Bracken.  A shot by Katelyn Aiello sailed just wide of the net as well.  Kalamazoo scored in the 31st minute and took a 1-0 lead into halftime.

Hayley Jacobson made two key saves early in the second half.  The Hornets were able to extend their lead with a marker in the 56th minute.  The Cardinals continued to make rushes into the offensive zone with Alyssa Pringle taking four shots on goal in the half.  However, the Hornets' defense remained strong and the Cardinals fell 2-0.

 

Concordia will travel to NCAA Division I member Detroit-Mercy this Sunday at 1pm.
