Women's Soccer falls at Lawrence Tech

(Southfield, MI) – Concordia women's soccer traveled to Lawrence Tech early Saturday morning for a WHAC contest.  The Cardinals faced a heavy barrage of shots and fought to a scoreless first half, but LTU scored in the second half for a 1-0 win.

 

Hayley Jacobson played a complete game in goal with 13 saves.  Lawrence Tech went on the attack early with multiple corner kicks and rushes into the Concordia zone.  The Cardinal defense held strong with Hayley Jacobson being tested multiple times and the game was scoreless at halftime.

LTU broke through with a goal in the 60th minute, capitalizing after a rebound on a corner kick.  Concordia looked to counterattack with Alyssa Pringle taking the team's first shot on goal in the 65th minute.  Allie Grice fired a shot on net as well after spinning away from her defender.  However, Lawrence Tech's goal held up and the Cardinals fell 1-0.

 

Concordia will travel to Madonna next Wednesday at 4pm.
