Women's Tennis opens spring season at UNOH

(Lima, OH) Concordia Women's Tennis opened up their spring season with a match against University of Northwester Ohio (UNOH). The Racers defended their home courts of Wildwood Tennis Club, blanking the Cardinals 7-0.

 

In doubles action Isabella Macquet and Elle Fritcha won their #1 match 6-4, but UNOH ultimately won the doubles point shutting out Savannah Borrego and Jules Meads in #2 Doubles and Jadyn Hackmann and Hollie Johnson in #3 Doubles.

 

The Racers took the remaining six points, winning all of the singles matches. Newcomer Jacey Powell came the closest to winning her singles match, sending the #6 matchup to a tiebreaker (4-6, 6-3, 5-10). In the #1 slot Isabella Macquet took four games with Savannah Borrego taking three in #5 Singles. Elle Fritcha took a game in the #2 slot while Jules Meads and Hollie Johnson were swept in #3 and #4 Singles respectively.
