Women's Tennis sweeps Manchester at home

(Ann Arbor, MI) Concordia Women's Tennis hosted Manchester Wednesday afternoon for a non-conference match. The Cardinals came out strong and swept the Spartans 7-0.

 

Concordia won the doubles point, winning all three matches. Elle Fritcha and Isabella Macquet swept the top doubles match while Hollie Johnson and Jadyn Hackmann won the #2 match 6-1. Savanna Borrego and Jacey Powell completed the doubles action with a 6-4 win in the third slot.

 

Isabella Macquet and Jules Meads both won their matches in #1 and #4 Singles respectively, only dropping a game each. Hollie Johnson won in the fifth slot with only 2 games taken by her opponent. Elle Fritcha took the #2 Singles match by a score of (1-6, 3-6). The closest matches of the day were in the third and sixth slots where Savannah Borrego won (7-5, 6-3) and Amelia Black took home the (6-3, 7-5) victory.

 

The Cardinals will be back at home next Friday, April 5th when they host Lawrence Tech. The match is currently set for a noon start at the Racquet Club of Ann Arbor.
