Volleyball Season Preview: Cardinals look to fly higher in WHAC standings

(Ann Arbor, MI) – Concordia volleyball is preparing to begin the 2021-22 campaign with a home tri-match this upcoming Tuesday.  The Cardinals battled through a challenging pandemic-disrupted season last year, finishing 6th in the conference and qualifying for the WHAC tournament for the first time since 2013.  4th-year head coach Danielle Cook returns 11 players from last year's squad while bringing in a talented recruiting class of 12 freshmen this year.

2020-21 Season Review

Due to COVID-19, the Cardinals' 2020-21 season was split between the fall and the spring.  Concordia went 3-2 in the month of October, picking up a pair of WHAC wins over Lawrence Tech before the remainder of the season was postponed to spring.  CUAA finished with a 7-10 WHAC record, placing them as the #6 seed in the WHAC tournament.  The Cardinals' season concluded after a hard-fought first-round loss to Madonna.
