Men's Golf takes 9th at Lourdes Spring Invitational

(Ottawa Lake, MI) - The Concordia Cardinal's Men's Golf team traveled to Ottawa Lake, Michigan for the Lourdes Spring Invitational on Tuesday. The tournament featured one round of scoring and saw the Cardinals finish in a tie with Cleary for ninth place.

 

CUAA finished the tournament with a score of 321, which is tied for the 8th lowest one-round score in program history. 

 

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS

Six different Cardinals took part in the tournament for CUAA with Neil Heinlein, Cam Barrett, Zakary Schroeder, Brady Baldwin, and Gibson Wilke participating as a team and Andrew Sweitzer as an individual. 

 

Heinlein led the Cardinals, shooting a 77 on the day which put him in a tie for 13th place. In 24th and two shots back of Heinlein, was Barrett with a 79. Schroeder would then shoot an 82, followed by Baldwin and Wilke each scoring an 83.

TOURNAMENT RECAP

Trine took home the top team spot after scoring 299, nine shots better than second place Siena Heights. 

 

Siena Heights' Ben Ellis would earn the top individual score by shooting a 71 on the day. 

 

NEXT UP

The Cardinals will travel to Defiance, Ohio for a dual match against Defiance College on Friday, April 12 beginning at 11 AM at Eagle Rock Golf Course.
