Spring Season opens for Women's Golf at Heritage Hills Collegiate

(Shepherdsville, KY) - The Concordia Cardinals opened up the spring 2023 season at the Heritage Hills Collegiate this past weekend in a tournament that would feature four total Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) teams. The Cardinals as a whole finished in 6th place with a team score of 1,171. 

 

CUAA RESULTS

Rachel Yuhas posted a personal best score 3rd round score of 88 on the final day while also posting a 3-round score of 280 which placed her in 21st. Callie Wabeke was the next top golfer on the team after posting a score of 285 with a low of 94. 

 

Amelia Black recorded a score of 296 and a personal low of 91 and the final golfer for the team was Lilly Alaspa who recorded a score of 310. 

 

ENTERING THE RECORD BOOKS

The tournament was highlighted as the team posted a program-low three-round score of 1,171. 

 

Rachel Yuhas entered the record books twice as well with scores of 88 (1-round) and 280 (2-round) which are 8th and 5th lowest respectively. 

 

Callie Wabeke and Amelia Black's scores of 285 and 296 are the 6th and 9th lowest in program history. 

 

TOURNAMENT RECAP

Jordan Harris from Spalding University won the individual title for the event with a score of 231 and a 1-round low score of 74. Spalding also won the team championship with a score of 998. 

 

NEXT UP

The Cardinals will take part in the Purgatory Invitational in Noblesville, Indiana on Friday, March 31, and April 1 later this week.
