Women's Golf takes part in the Purgatory Invitational

(Noblesville, IN) - The Concordia Cardinals Women's Golf headed to Indiana for their second straight weekend of golfing as they competed at the Purgatory Invitational at the Purgatory Golf Course. The event was scheduled for three rounds but was only able to finish the first round due to high winds. 

 

The Cardinals as a team finished in ninth place with a score of 400. 

 

CUAA RESULTS

The Cardinal's top finisher for the second straight tournament was Rachel Yuhas with a score of 94. Amelia Black, Lilly Alasps, and Callie Wabeke would then finish in consecutive spots with scores of 101, 102, and 103. 

 

ENTERING THE RECORD BOOKS

The Cardinals team score of 400 is the ninth-lowest score for a 1-round tournament. 

 

TOURNAMENT RECAP

St. Thomas (FL) took home both the team and the individual championship of the shortened event. The team finished with a score of 320, while Samantha Cornelius grabbed the individual title at 76.

The next time the Cardinals hit the links will be next weekend, April 7-8, in Augusta, Michigan as they will compete at the Battle of the Brae.
