(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced the Players of the Week for April 1-April 7 and Concordia Cardinals Sam Bowling was honored as the Defensive Player of the Week.
Bowling, a senior from Canton, Michigan, took home the honors after anchoring the Cardinal defense in their two wins on the week against #7 Aquinas and #RV Madonna. Each game saw Bowling face 19 shots on goal, as he picked up 24 saves in the two games. Bowling's save percentage was 63.2% on the week.
This is the fourth time Bowling has taken home a WHAC Player of the Week honor and the first time this season. He joins Hunter McCarty, Andrew Simmons, and Jeff Harrison as players who have taken home honors this season.
The Men's Lacrosse team will be back in action this Wednesday as they will host WHAC opponent Lourdes at 4 PM.
