Tyler Groth was named the Assistant Coach for the D1 Men’s Hockey team after being the D2 Head Coach for the 2022-2023 season. " I am excited for this upcoming year,” said Groth. “The growth of this program is tremendous and the expectations are a championship mindset." Groth completed his bachelors in exercise science and completed his masters in leadership (MSL) and is currently enrolled in the CUAA doctorate of physical therapy. Tyler played hockey for 21 years and was the captain for CUAA hockey from 2018-2022. His previous coaching experiences include the Wooster Oilers (NA3HL/USPHL) for two seasons, Canton High School Varsity (fall season), and CUAA D2 Hockey. Groth expresses that he has a desire to give back to the game. Tyler's coffee order? A large black coffee with added shot(s) of espresso.
