Dean Boodakian enters his 4th year at the healm of Concordia's Men's Tennis program. Boodakian came to Concordia after a successful playing career at Colby Sawyer College in New Hampshire and as a Tennis Professional at Liberty Athletic Club in Ann Arbor.

"Dean was an assistant for our tennis teams this past season and had a very positive impact on our program," said Athletic Director Lonnie Pries.  "Dean has a great deal of experience, both as a player and instructor, and we are excited for him to lead our men's program."

Boodakian graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in 2017 with a degree in Sport Management and a minor in Business Administration. During his tenure at Colby-Sawyer, Dean spent four years on the Charger varsity tennis team as a starter. All four years the Chargers competed in the NCAA Division III tournament, with Boodakian serving as the captain for the last two seasons of his career.

Currently working at the Liberty Athletic Club, Boodakian serves as the Tennis Professional at the Ann Arbor club. He is in charge of several elite junior groups while teaching private tennis lessons for his clientele. Previous to his work at Liberty, Boodakian spent four summers working at Burlington Swim and Tennis Club as the Head Tennis Director. While at Burlington, Dean led the summer tennis program as well as giving lessons and coaching club teams.

Boodakian states, "Tennis has always been a passion of mine and my love for the sport inspired me to pursue it as a career. My collegiate coach had a great impact on my life and he was an excellent role model. Under his leadership, I matured as a person and grew to new heights as an athlete. In light of my own collegiate tennis experience, coaching at a university has always been a goal of mine. I look forward to helping develop the tennis team at Concordia as well as making an impact on the lives of the student athletes that go through this fantastic program."
