A recent graduate from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, Tanner joins Concordia Track & Field as a volunteer assistant coach for the sprints/jump/hurdles group. Tanner is currently pursuing his PhD in Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering at the nearby University of Michigan. At Centre, Tanner received his Bachelor of Science in Physics while competing in track & field and football for the Colonels.

 

As a four-year sprinter at Centre, Tanner was a seven-time SAA All-Conference performer across the sprinting events, including the 100m and 200m dashes as well as the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. His junior year, Tanner was part of the 4x100m relay that broke Centre College’s relay record, earning USTFCCCA All-Region honors, and stood as the 15th fastest relay team in all of NCAA Division III. As a sophomore, Tanner once broke the individual 60m dash record for Centre. Tanner also has experience in the 400m dash and long jump.
