Santina will begin his second season as the Head Coach of the Cardinal's Men's and Women's Cross Country teams. Santina is also an Assistant Coach for the Track team. He also serves as the Director of Operations for both Cross Country and Track.
Santina was hired in January 2022.
Dominic Santina came to Concordia following a year stint in the Boyne City Schools Athletic Department with the 2021 spring semester spent as an assistant coach for the high school track and field team. In the Fall of 2020 he was the head coach for the middle school cross country program.
“Dominic has a great opportunity to lead and grow our cross country program and its student athletes.” said Athletic Director Lonnie Pries. “Being a former athlete in the WHAC, he knows what it takes to be successful in this conference and also how important it is to have a meaningful all around collegiate experience.
Santina is a 2019 graduate of Rochester University in Michigan where he was a four-year runner at Rochester. Santina was a two-time WHAC Champions of Character honoree and was a part of the WHAC Scholar Athlete team multiple seasons. In addition to his work at Boyne City Schools, Santina has also been a News and Sports Writer for the Charlevoix County News. Santina also worked in the sports information department at Rochester.
Dominic is excited to start at Concordia. “I’m excited at the base that we already have in the program and am looking forward to building upon that and making it a successful program moving forward.”
