Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Jake attended Saline High School where he was a varsity athlete in track and basketball and became a state champion with the track and field team as well as a school record holder in the 4x100 meter relay.
He then attended Butler University to continue his track and field career and was a member of multiple All-Conference relay teams in the Big East as well as being on the All-Conference academic team all four years he competed. Jake was also a member of two school record holding relay teams in both the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays. At Butler, Jake studied Psychology and Criminology and graduated in 2019.
He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Social Work online at Concordia University Wisconsin and is serving as a Graduate Assistant to the track and field team here in Ann Arbor.
