Rachel Grefke now enters her fourth season as the assistant coach of the Concordia University women’s ice hockey team. Grefke was welcomed onto the coaching staff as the first assistant coach in program history.

Before coming to Concordia, Grefke was a four year athlete at State University of New York at Potsdam. While being a duel sport hockey and softball NCAA athlete, Grefke successfully competed in every game of her 4-year hockey career. Coach Grefke brought the duel threat to opponents as both a forward and defenseman during her time at Potsdam. “Grefke brings a vast variety of hockey knowledge to our program. Having experience as both a forward and defenseman in the NCAA, she develops well rounded athletes for the Cardinals” head coach Barlow says of Grefke.

“I have enjoyed working with Coach Barlow from year one to get this program off the ground. I look forward to helping the program become successful using my knowledge and past experience, and to develop our athletes into successful, Christ centered, championship minded young women.”
