Jasmine Wilks

Jasmine Wilks enters her first season with Cardinals track & field. Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Jasmine attended Pickerington Central High School where she was 4 time All-State athlete and school record holder in the 4x400 meter relay. 

 

Wilks then attended The University of Detroit Mercy (UDM), where she still owns the 400 meter hurdle school record and has a number of top 10 program finishes including the 60 meter, 60 meter hurdle, 300 meter, 400 meter, 500 meter, 4x100 relay, 4x400 relay, and distance medley relay. 

 

After receiving her undergraduate degree in psychology from UDM and master's degree in Family and Human development from Arizona State University, she went on to coach at various Detroit city schools before landing the position as the head track and field and cross country coach at Cass Technical High school. There, she founded the first AAU track club housed in Cass, Courageous Track Club. In her first year, she led the track team to a MHSAA Regional Championship and a PSL City Championship in Cross Country. Additionally, Wilks coached 15 All-State athletes, 9 All-Americans, and coached a 4x400 relay to bronze medal at the 2022 AAU National Junior Olympics.

 

She resides in Redford, MI with her husband, son, daughter and dog.
