(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced their Players of the Week for Volleyball on Monday afternoon and Concordia Cardinals McKenzie Peters was named the WHAC Defender of the Week.
Peters, a senior from Monroe, Michigan, anchored the Cardinal's backend defense with 95 digs throughout the 4-1 week. She recorded a season-high 33 digs in the 5-set win against Lourdes. Throughout the 19 sets played she averaged 5 digs/set.
This is the second time Peters has won WHAC Defender of the Week, as she won last season as well.
Peters and the Volleyball team return to WHAC play this week with three games, two of which are home, when play resumes on Wednesday, September 13 against Indiana Tech at home with a 7 PM first serve.
