(Olivet, MI) – The Concordia Cardinals Women's Tennis team took to the courts for their first match of the year as they faced off against the Comets from Olivet College. The Cardinals would come away with the 6-3 win.

The first of the Cardinals' points came in #1 Doubles, where Elle Fritcha and Isabella Macquet winning 8-1. Jadyn Hackmann and Jules Meads in #2 Doubles as well as Amelia Black and Hollie Johnson in #3 Doubles both fell in their matches 3-8.

Elle Fritcha won her #1 Singles match (6-2, 6-1) while Isabella Macquet swept her #2 Singles match. Jules Meads came away victorious in #4 Singles (6-3, 7-5) along with Hollie Johnson in the fifth slot, winning (7-6, 6-2). It was Savannah Borrego who won the final point for the Cards in #6 Singles (6-3, 6-2).

The Cardinals are back in action next Saturday, September 16 when they travel to Adrian for a match.
