Women's Tennis hosts Cedarville in home opener

(Ann Arbor, MI) Concordia Women's Tennis had their home opener of the fall season Friday afternoon at the Racquet Club of Ann Arbor. The Cardinals welcomed NCAA D2 Cedarville to town, and the Yellow Jackets came away with the 7-0 win.

 

In doubles action, the Cardinals played Elle Fritcha and Hollie Johnson in #1 Doubles, Isabella Macquet and Jadyn Hackmann in the #2 slot, and Savannah Borrego and Sadie Whitaker in #3 Doubles. The Yellow Jackets won each of the Doubles matches 1-6 to earn the doubles point.

 

In singles, Cedarville took all six points. Isabella Macquet came the closest to winning a set for the Cardinals, ultimately falling (6-7, 1-6) in #2 Singles. Jaydyn Hackmann took a total of three games in her #3 matchup. Elle Fritcha and Hollie Johnson were both able to get a game against their opponents in #1 and #5 Singles respectively.

 

The Cardinals will have another home match on Friday, October 6th when they host Indiana Southeast. The match will take place at the Chippewa Club in Ypsilanti.
