Women's Tennis takes down Albion 5-4

(Albion, MI) Concordia Women's Tennis traveled to Albion for an out of conference match against the Britons. The Cardinals won the closely contested match, 5-4, for their second win of the fall season.

 

Isabella Macquet and Jadyn Hackmann won the top doubles match, winning narrowly (8-7, 7-4). Elle Fritcha and Hollie Johnson won their #2 Doubles match (8-5). In the third doubles slot, Savanna Borrego and Sadie Whitaker fell (6-8).

 

The Cardinals won three points in the singles portion to win the match. Isabella Macquet won the top match (6-4, 6-1). Elle Fritcha won her #2 Singles match with a (6-3, 6-0) score. Hollie Johnson secured the fifth and final point for Concordia with a (6-3, 6-1) win in #5 Singles. Jules Meads narrowly lost both of her sets in #4 Singles by two games (4-6, 5-7). Savannah Borrego fell (3-6, 2-6) in the sixth slot, while Jadyn Hackmann went down (0-6, 0-6) in the #3 Singles match.  

 

 

The Cardinals will take on Alma and Anderson next Saturday, October 14th, with both matches taking place at Alma.
