Women's Tennis falls against IU-Southeast

(Ann Arbor, MI) Concordia Women's Tennis took to the courts Friday afternoon for a NAIA contest against IU-Southeast. The Cardinals fell 6-1 in the match to the Grenadiers.

 

IU-Southeast took all three doubles matches to secure the first point of the day. Elle Fritcha and Isabella Macquet got the closest to winning their match with a 4-6 finish in the top slot. In #2 Doubles, Jadyn Hackmann and Hollie Johnson took a pair of games, while Jules Meads and Savannah Borrego came away with one in #3 Doubles.

 

Concordia's lone point in the match came from Isabella Macquet in #2 Singles, where she beat her Grenadier counterpart (6-2, 6-4). In the fifth slot, Hollie Johnson nearly came back in the second set, but went down 4-6 in both sets. Savannah Borrego took five games in her #6 Singles match and Elle Fritcha came away with four games in the top Singles position, ultimately falling (1-6, 3-6). Jules Meads took a game in the first set of #4 Singles and Jadyn Hackmann went down (0-6, 0-6) in the third slot.

 

The Cardinals will hit the road for a 10:00 AM match at Albion tomorrow, Saturday October 7th.
