(Olivet, MI) – The Concordia Cardinals Men's Tennis team took to the courts for their first match of the year as they faced off against the Comets from Olivet College. The Cardinals would come away with the 7-2 win.
Two of the Cardinal's wins came from the doubles matches as Ethan Hiltz and Benjamin King (#2 doubles) took home a 8-5 win, while Logan Fuller and Isaac Haley (#3 doubles) would also win 8-5. Jordan Conn and Andrew Dobbs fell in a close 8-7 battle and 7-4 in a tiebreaker set.
The singles matches saw five more wins as Andrew Dobbs (6-1, 6-4), Benjamin King (6-0, 6-3), Ethan Hiltz (3-6, 6-3, 1-0), Isaac Haley (6-0, 7-5) and Logan Fuller (6-4, 6-2). Jordan Conn fell in the singles #2 match 3-6 and 3-6.
The Cardinals are back in action next Saturday, September 16 when they travel to Adrian for a match.
