Men's Tennis defeats IU-Southeast 5-2

(Ann Arbor, MI) Concordia Men's Tennis took to the courts Friday afternoon for a NAIA contest against IU-Southeast. The Cardinals took down the Grenadiers 5-2, to improve to 2-2 on the young season.

 

 

Concordia captured the Doubles point with a 7-5 win in #2 Doubles by Benjamin King and Edward Lupas and a default win by Isaac Haley and Logan Fuller in #3 Doubles. Andrew Dobbs and Jordan Conn came up short, 1-6, in the top Doubles match.

 

Isaac Haley swept his match in #5 Singles, with Benjamin King and Jordan Conn also winning their matches in #3 and #4 Singles both by a (6-2, 6-2) score. Ethan Hiltz picked up the Cardinals final point with a default win in the sixth slot. Edward Lupus and Andrew Dobbs both lost hard fought matches in the #1 and #2 spots respectively.

 

 

The Cardinals will hit the road for a 10:00 AM match at Albion tomorrow, Saturday October 7th.
