The Concordia University Ann Arbor Athletic Department announced on August 9th, 2023, that Trevor Sattelmeier has been hired as the Men's Hockey Head Coach. Sattelmeier has been with Concordia the last 5 years as an assistant coach and is excited to step up to being head coach.

"Trevor has done a tremendous job during his time here as part of the men's hockey coaching staff," said Concordia Athletic Director Lonnie Pries. "He has established strong relationships with our current student athletes, played an integral role in recruiting, and been a big factor in the growth of the program. We are confident that he is the right person to serve as our next head coach and are excited for our student athletes to be led by Coach Sattelmeier."

Sattelmeier has been coaching hockey for the past 15+ years at every level from mites to college. He played four years of high school hockey at Grosse Pointe South. He moved on to play juniors for the Chatham Maroons of the GOJHL and played college hockey at Wayne State University. He was previously the goaltending and assistant coach for Eastern Michigan University. He has been involved with the USA Hockey Coaching Education Program since 2012. He currently works as the Goaltending Director and House Hockey Director for the Sylvania Youth Hockey Association.

"I am extremely honored and excited to be the next head coach at Concordia University," said Sattelmeier. "We have a great group of guys that I get to work with every day - now in an expanded role. I am looking forward to seeing what they can achieve not only this year, but how they can continue to build this program for years to come."
