Men's Cross Country hosts Concordia Invite

(Ann Arbor, MI) The Cardinals opened their season up by hosting the Concordia Invite this Saturday morning. The men's cross country team finished in fourth in the team competition with Luke Bentz cracking the top ten in his first collegiate race.

 

Concordia had five runners in the men's 5K race, led by the aforementioned Bentz. The freshman came in 7th place with a time of 17:40.4. Avery Sanchez was the next Cardinal to cross the finish line with a time of 19:23.6 followed by Theodore Eising at 20:29.7. Michael Brannan and Noah Finley rounded out the Cardinals' efforts with finishing times of 21:16.5 and 23:09.9 respectively.

 

Cleary University won the men's team competition and Siena Heights' Liam Hartsuff took home the individual win with a 16:46.0 finish.

 

The Cardinals are now set to race in the Ray Bullock Invite at Taylor University this Friday, September 17th.
