(Thompsonville, MI) - The Concordia Men's Golf team opened up their 2024 fall campaign at the LTU Collegiate Kickoff over the past two days. The event was held at the Crystal Mountain Golf Course. The team finished in 7th place in the three-round event with a score of 978.
CUAA SCORES
Neil Heinlein was the top golfer for the Cardinals at the tournament with an overall score of 236 with a 78 and a pair of 79's. Gibson Wilke was the next best golfer for the Cardinals scoring a 77-83-86 to total a 246. Andrew Sweitzer also shot a 246 with scores of 85-79-82.
Zakary Schroeder and Jack Burnett were the final two golfers of the event for CUAA with scores of 252 and 261 respectively. Schroeder shot 84-81-87 while Burnett shot 83-90-88.
ENTERING THE RECORD BOOKS
The team's score of 978 is the fourth-best mark in program history.
Heinlein's 236 is currently tied for 5th-lowest for a three-round tournament.
