Stiegler named Men's and Women's Golf Head Coach

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Concordia University Ann Arbor Athletic Department has announced that Dalton Stiegler has been named as the Head Men's & Women's Golf Coach. Stiegler began his duties on July 1.

Dalton Stiegler is a CUAA graduate and former member of the Cardinal golf team from 2020-2022. As a Cardinal, Stiegler set the second lowest one-round (72) and two-round (147) scores in program history. He was also a part of four of the lowest team two-round scores and four of the lowest team three-round scores in the Cardinal record books.

Athletic Director Lonnie Pries had this to say about welcoming Dalton, "Dalton is a product of our golf program.  He loves the game, is a student of the game, and is committed to consistently learning and growing as a coach.  We are excited for him that he has this opportunity to take over and lead our golf programs."

In addition to coaching, Stiegler is a sales associate at Carl's Golfland in Plymouth, Michigan, and account manager at DTS Supreme Distribution. Stiegler graduated from Concordia with a Public Relations degree in 2022 and is currently pursuing a finance degree at Concordia as well.

Stiegler emphasized that he is excited to return to his alma mater. "When I was a student here (at Concordia), I not only grew closer to my Lutheran faith but I grew as a person. I love the role of being a golf coach as I love the game of golf and using it as a tool to bring my athletes closer to Christ with the life lessons we are humbled with on the course. I am looking forward to a fun filled season with both the men and women and excited to see what they accomplish this season."
