Women's hockey earns first ACHA D1 ranking in program history

(Ann Arbor, MI) – After tearing off a 3-game win streak to start the 2020-21 season, the women's hockey program finds themselves in the top-10 rankings in the latest ACHA Division I Women's Ice Hockey Rankings. The Cardinals are now ranked 8th overall in the nation after splitting their series with 9th ranked Davenport with a 4-1 win at the Arctic Coliseum and a close 5-4 loss on the road in Grand Rapids.  The Friday night win over Davenport was the first ACHA D1 win in program history as well.

Coach Barlow's team has seen progressive improvement in the first first three years of the program's history. The development of the players and the program's culture has allowed the Cardinals to see their recent success to start off this season. Concordia has outscored their opponents 7-1 through their first 3 games of the season and will look to continue their momentum next weekend as they are set to play a 2-game series against Michigan State's DII team. Both games will be hosted at the Arctic Coliseum on February 20th and 21st. Puck drop is set for 7:30pm on both evenings.
