Kate Edge announced as Senior Woman Leader for Concordia Athletics

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Concordia University Ann Arbor Athletic Department has announced that Kate Edge has been promoted to Senior Woman Leader. Edge began her duties on September 1. 

 

"I am excited to take on this role within our athletic department. I appreciate the opportunity to carve out this new position to support not just our female athletes, but all of the athletes and coaches within our institution. In addition, I look forward to representing Concordia Athletics within our university and across the WHAC and NAIA."

 

Edge enters her 13th year on staff at Concordia as she is also the Cheer and STUNT head coach. As the Senior Woman Leader Edge will serve as a key participant in senior-level management decisions regarding intercollegiate athletics on campus.

 

Pries had this to say about Edge's promotion "Kate Edge is a tremendous coach and leader of young people. Her cheer team is a perennial NAIA championship qualifier as well as winning the NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship in 2019. We are excited to have Kate become our Senior Woman Leader and give her the opportunity to extend her impact to other coaches and programs in our department."
