Hebner and Clark sweep WHAC Player of the Week honors

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) named their Player's of the Week for Men's Hockey on Monday afternoon and Concordia Cardinals Kyle Hebner and McCarthy Clark were honored as the Cardinals swept the Hockey awards this week.

Hebner, a junior from Harbor Shores, Michigan, won the offensive award this week as he helped the Cardinals sweep Rochester over the weekend as CUAA scored 12 goals on the week. Hebner scored the final goal in the game on Friday night as he also assisted on the game-winning goal earlier in the game. In Saturday's matchup, he recorded the third goal of the game.

Clark, a sophomore from Round Lake, Illinois, took home the defensive honor this week as he aided the Cardinals' defense to only allow three goals over the two games. In addition to his defense, Clark scored the fourth Cardinal goal of the game on Friday, while assisting on three others throughout the game.

The Cardinals are back in action this weekend as they will play #12 Indiana Tech with a home and home series as they will travel to Fort Wayne on Friday for a 7:30 PM puck drop.
