Cheer takes second at Marian Invite

(Indianapolis, IN) The Concordia Cheer Team traveled south for their fourth comp of the season in the Marian Invite. Concordia posted their highest score of the season en route to a second-place finish at the competition.

 

The Cardinals outscored their previous best score of the season by nearly 2.5 points this Friday. That score was highlighted by strong scores in Jumps (9.3 out of 10) and overall difficulty (9 out of 10). Concordia only had 0.5 points worth of deductions, leading the Cards to an 82.27 final score.

 

Concordia was edged out by Indiana Wesleyan for first place at the comp with the Wildcats finishing at 82.82. Marian finished just over a point behind Concordia in third place and the remaining teams finished as follows: UT Southern (74.9), Brescia (68.03), Bethel (67.37), and Mount Vernon (64.5).

 

The Cardinals will return to the mats on Febuary 12th when they host Cardinal Invite 2.
