Cheer places first at Cardinal Invite 2

(Ann Arbor, MI) The Concordia Cheer team hosted their second comp of the season this Saturday, welcoming five opposing teams to Cardinal Field House. The Cardinals separated themselves from the pack, defeating second place by over 10 points and posting their highest score of the season.

 

The Concordia squad had the highest difficulty rating of the day with an average of 9.4. The Cards ended the comp with a subtotal of 86.95 before deductions. Three quarters of a point in deductions brought the Cardinals down to 86.20, which is their highest score of the season by nearly four points.

 

Taking second place behind the Cards was Spring Arbor (76.17), followed by Rochester (74.2), Point Park (69.83), Siena Heights (57.33), and Madonna (52.62).

 

Cardinals Head Coach Kate Edge had this to day about the competition, "We were excited to have such a strong performance for our seniors last home meet."

 

The Cardinals will be competing at the WHAC Championships next Saturday hosted by Lourdes in Sylvania, Ohio.
