(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced their weekly Players of the Week for Softball and Concordia Cardinals player Elyse Brittain earned this week's honors as the team went 3-1.
Brittain, a senior from Lansing, Michigan, aided the Cardinals to three wins on the week to open WHAC play. Brittain tallied seven hits in her 10 at-bats including a solo shot in the 15-7 win over Siena Heights and two-run home run against Cleary in the 8-0 win. Brittain drove in a total of seven RBI's on the week, including four in the Cleary win.
This is the second time Brittain has earned a WHAC Player of the Week honor this season, with the first coming back in February as a pitcher. Other Cardinals who have earned the honor this season were Faith Cramton and Maddy Grueter.
The Cardinals are back in action with a slew of games this week with doubleheaders against Aquinas, Defiance, Cornerstone and Lawrence Tech.
