Women's Tennis falls 7-0 to (RV) Cornerstone

(Ann Arbor, MI) The Concordia women's tennis team returned to the courts for their first match of the spring season on Saturday. The Cardinals faced a Cornerstone team that is receiving votes within the NAIA for their first WHAC matchup of the season. The Golden Eagles defeated the Cardinals 7-0.

 

Jadyn Hackmann and Natalie Waske each picked up a game at 4 and 5 singles respectively but not enough to earn a point for the Cardinals. The remainder of the singles matches were won (6-0, 6-0) by Cornerstone. The Golden Eagles lived up to their billing and swept the doubles matches without giving up a point.

 

The Cardinals will look to bounce back with a match at Indiana Tech on Friday, March 4th. The match will take place at Wildwood Racquet Club in Fort Wayne at noon.
