(Ann Arbor, MI) The Concordia Women's Tennis team continued WHAC play this Friday as they hosted the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils at Greenhills High School. The Cardinals ultimately fell to Lawrence Tech 4-1, unable to finish #5 singles and doubles due to the rain.
Elle Fritcha played a close second set at #1 singles, winning four games before the 6-0, 6-4 finish. Hollie Johnson played well at #2 singles, taking two games in the first set, and three in the second set. Anna Leeper played a close match at #3 singles (6-4, 6-1) and Jadyn Hackmann was defeated in #4 singles (6-0, 6-0). Payton Woodruff was unable to finished her #5 singles match due to the rain. Natalie Waske won the Cardinals lone point off of a forfeit at #6 singles.
The tennis team was slated to play Franklin and Manchester this weekend, but both games were canceled due to rain and are yet to be rescheduled.
