Women's Tennis falls at Aquinas; drops close match at Lourdes

The Concordia Women's Tennis Team competed in a pair of conference matches against Aquinas and Lourdes with both matches on the road. The Cardinals lost their match at Aquinas 7-0 but played a close match at Lourdes, falling 4-2.

 

In Grand Rapids on Friday the doubles pairs of Hollie Johnson and Natalie Waske as well as Jadyn Hackmann and Katie Vivaqua were both able to win a game. In singles Elle Fritcha, Hollie Johnson, and Jadyn Hackmann all won a game in their matches.

 

On Monday the Cardinals played well in doubles at Lourdes with Elle Fritcha and Hollie Johnson falling 3-6 and Jadyn Hackmann and Natalie Waske falling 5-7. In singles Fritcha and Johnson both took four games from their opponents and Waske was able to win one. It was Jadyn Hackmann who won a point for the Cardinals as she swept her #4 Singles opponent (6-0, 6-0). Payton Woodruff also won a point for the Cardinals with a default win in the #5 slot.
