(Ann Arbor, MI) The Concordia Women's Cross Country program kicked off their 2021 season with a home meet this Saturday morning. The Cardinals finished in third place at the Concordia Invite thanks to a pair of top-ten finishes from Gabriela Porter and Megan Espinoza.
Porter led the Cards in the 5K race with a 21:28.7 finish, good enough for 5th place. The graduate student was closely followed by Megan Espinoza and her 22:01.6 time. Next to cross the finish line for Concordia was Anna Glomski with a finish of 23:11.9. Elizabeth Trent and Lydia Schroeder came in back to back with their 24:42.4 and 24:58.1 times.
Siena Heights came away with the win in the women's team competition and it was Cleary's Mallory Tognetti who came in first place individually with a 20:21.4
The Cardinals are now set to race in the Ray Bullock Invite at Taylor University this Friday, September 17th.
