Men's Tennis concludes season at WHAC Tournament

(Grand Rapids, MI) The Concordia Men's Tennis team rounded out their season at the WHAC Tournament Friday. The team went into the quarterfinals as the seventh seed, slated to face second seeded Indiana Tech. The Warriors won the match 5-0 and would go on to fall to top seeded UNOH in the conference Championship.

 

Indiana Tech won the doubles point with a 6-0 victory in #2 Doubles and a default in #3 Doubles. Tristan Waechter, Ethan Szabados, and Ethan Hiltz all dropped their singles matches (6-0, 6-0). The Warriors' fifth point was won with a default in #6 Singles.

 

Tristan Waechter and Jacob Gerace were named to the All-Academic Team for meeting the WHAC requirements of a junior academic status while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.25.

 

Frank Melcher was named the Cardinals recipient of the WHAC Champions of Character. This award is given to a representative from each participating institution that displays the five core values of the NAIA which are respect, integrity, responsibility, servant leadership, and sportsmanship.
