(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals Men's Cross Country, which is coming off of a National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Championships appearance, will kick off their season on August 30th as they travel to the Jeff Drenth Memorial hosted by Central Michigan.

Head Coach Dominic Santina will begin his third season as the head coach of the men's and women's programs and has this to say about the upcoming season.
"We lost most of our guy's team over this last year. I am excited to see the individual progress of the couple of guys we have. I think they all have a chance to see some great improvement on some flat and fast courses."
Assistant Coach Madeline Santina and Graduate Assistant Ryan Exell will join Santina.

The team will be headed by senior Luke Bentz who ran a season-best 28:27.8 (8K) at the Bethel Cross Country Invite last year. Also joining Bentz is sophomore Dominic Catallo who ran a season-best 8K at the WHAC Championships with a time of 30:41.2.
Also on the team is senior Noah Finley and freshman Eric Breidert
2024 FALL SCHEDULE
Following the Jeff Drenth Memorial, the Cardinals will host their own invite on September 13, before traveling to the Lansing Invitational the following week, September 20.
The Cardinals will travel to a pair of races in October as they head to the Bethel Invite in Mishawaka, Indiana on October 4th and the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, Michigan on October 19.
The month of November will see CUAA travel to the WHAC Championships at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Following the WHAC season, qualified runners will have the opportunity to run at the NCCAA Championships (November 15 in Warsaw, Indiana) or the NAIA Championships (November 22 in Columbia, Missouri)
As announced on June 13th by CUWAA President Erik Ankerberg, the 2024-25 Academic Year will serve as the final season for CUAA Athletics.
