Women's Tennis bows out of WHAC Tournament against LTU

(Southfield, MI) Concordia Women's Tennis rounded out their season as a team at the WHAC Tournament on Monday afternoon. As the #7 seed, the Cardinals travelled to #4 Lawrence Tech for the first round. The Blue Devils started strong and won the match 4-0.

Lawrence Tech won the double point, taking all three matches. Isabella Macquet and Elle Fritcha took three games in the top match while Savannah Borrego and Jacey Powell took a pair in the third match. Jadyn Hackmann and Hollie Johnson were swept in the second match.

The Blue Devils needed just three points from the singles matches to clinch the victory. Savannah Borrego was able to take a pair of games, while Hollie Johnson took a lone game in their losses in the third and fifth slots respectively. Jules Meads was swept in the fourth match. Jacey Powell won her first set 6-4, but had her #6 match cut short after Lawrence Tech clinched the win. Both Isabella Macquet and Elle Fritcha fell 3-6 in their first set, and did not finish their second set.

The Cardinals will close out their season at the Olivet Singles Invitational on Saturday, April 27th.
