(Ann Arbor, MI) The Concordia Cardinal Competitive Cheer team competed at the final Concordia Invitational Saturday morning. The Cardinals continued their dominance in the event, winning it for the sixth and final time. CUAA has won every iteration of the CIT Cheer Competition.
The Cardinals took home the victory after scoring 74.15 in the comp. Nebraska came in second with 63.73, followed by Chicago (62.65) and Wisconsin (37.23).
Nya Martinez, a senior from Eastvale, California talked about the significance of winning CIT in its final year. "We are so happy to leave a legacy for the final CIT. We have worked really hard this season, and our hard work is paying off."

*As a non-NAIA competition, the scoring system was out of 90, compared to the typical 100 in NAIA scoring.
The Cardinals will hit the road next weekend for the Blue Devil Classic on February 1st.
