Cheer takes first at WHAC #2 with season-high score

(Ann Arbor, MI) Concordia Cheer hosted the second Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) competition of the season on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals recorded their highest score of the season with an 89.83, to win the competition, besting the other four squads in attendance. The Cardinals now have a season average score of 84.74, putting them at 12th in the NAIA currently and have won both of the first two WHAC Competitions to this point.

The Cardinals finished over two points higher than the second place Saints from Siena Heights and Lourdes who took third at the comp. Concordia received their highest marks in Jumps and Basket Tosses, getting scores over nine across the panel. Limiting it to just a half point in deductions also played a big factor in the Cardinals' highest score of 2025 thus far.

"As a coach, it's always a team effort that leads to success," said Head Assistant Coach Shanitra Cheff. "Today, our team showed incredible dedication, resilience, and focus. Every challenge they faced, they overcame together, and that's what makes wins like this so special. We stay humble, stay hungry, and keep pushing forward for what's next."
