Dance takes tenth at NAIA Championships

(Ypsilanti, MI) The Concordia Dance Team finished their season with the final round of the NAIA National Championship Saturday afternoon. Concordia improved upon their preliminary score and moved up a spot from the day before to finish in 10th place with an overall score of 78.98.

 

The Cardinals scored a 79.07 in the final round, which makes up 75% of the final score, with 25% coming from the preliminary round. Concordia saw improvement in the performance impression section of the scoring in their final performance which helped lead to the higher score.

 

"When we learned we had met the season goal of qualifying for the host bid, we turned our focus to putting on the best season performance of the year," said Head Coach Beth Strom. "The team did just that today. We feel so blessed and excited to have put on that performance and represent Concordia at the National Championships. I'm so proud of all this team has done this season, and to end with the tenth place finish is a great cap on a record setting season."
