(Ann Arbor, MI) The Concordia Dance Team hosted their Cardinal Invite Saturday afternoon, welcoming six other teams into the Cardinal Fieldhouse. The Cardinals scored their highest mark in program history with a score of 88.83, over four points better than the previous best score (84.73) set in 2023. Concordia won the event, outscoring the second-place team by over a point and a half. The Cardinals now have the 10th best average score in the NAIA, sitting at 81.35 currently.
The Cardinals scored their best score in program history, in large part due to a deduction-free performance. They were also benefited by their highest jazz technique scores of the season, scoring over nine points across all three judges. CDT received high marks in performance impression as well, eclipsing nine points in that category as well.
"This win means so much to us as our season and routine theme is 'Glory'," said Head Coach Beth Strom. "We prep for competition by talking about giving our all as we give back to God in thanks for all he has given us - our resilience and talent. The team did just that today. What a great end for our last home competition!"
