(Ypsilanti, MI) The Concordia Dance Team competed in the preliminary round of their third consecutive NAIA National Championship. Concordia earned an automatic bid to the event, recording program high scores throughout the season and winning a first WHAC Championship in program history. The Cardinals posted a score of 73.40 which put them in 10th place after the first round.
Teams compete for the NAIA Championship with each team performing two routines. Friday's first routine will be the preliminary round which will count toward 25% of the overall score. Saturday's final round score will make up 75% of the overall score. In the event of a tie, the score from finals will be used to break the tie.
The Cardinals will be performing in the final round Saturday at 10:20 AM.
