Nicholas Peters joins Cardinals as Assistant Athletic Trainer

(Ann Arbor, MI) The Concordia University Ann Arbor (CUAA) athletic department announces Nicholas Peters as Assistant Athletic Trainer. Peters will begin his employment with the CUAA athletic training staff immediately.

Peters comes to Concordia from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina where he completed an internship as an athletic trainer. During his time at Catawba, Peters worked with a variety of sports to provide direct coverage, treatments, and rehabilitation.

"I'm very excited for Nick to join the CUAA Athletic Training Department, said Peter. "He stood out in his application and interview as a great fit for the school and specifically this department. He has solid experience with a variety of sports at the collegiate setting and has a positive attitude regarding athletic training and his faith which is always a great quality to have. I'm glad he's here and I'm looking forward to working with him."

A native of Bay City, Michigan, Peters completed his undergraduate studies at Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2017. He continued his studies at Bowling Green State University where he earned a Master of Education in Sport Administration. While at completing his studies at Bowling Green, Peters served as the Head Athletic Trainer for Britton-Deerfield High School in Britton, MI. Other clincical and internship opportunities for Peters included Saginaw Valley State football and track, Bay City Western High School athletic department, and Delta College athletics.

Peters believes in Concordia's mission and is appreciative of the opportunity he will have to positively impact student-athletes. "I am blessed to be joining Concordia and am grateful that Peter, Lonnie, and the entire athletic department have given me this great opportunity. I am excited to be in a place where i can combine my faith and passion for Athletic Training and hope to bring a positive effect on all those I am fortunate enough to work with."

As the assistant athletic trainer for the CUAA athletic department, Peters will be responsible for providing coverage to the following teams; Volleyball, Men's Basketball, and Softball.
