Kristy named as the Head Coach for Men's and Women's Golf

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Concordia University Ann Arbor Athletic Department has announced that Kelly Kristy has been named as the Head Men's & Women's Golf Coach. Kristy began her duties on January 2.

Kelly Kristy comes to Concordia following a stint as an assistant women's golf coach at Plymouth High School. Her duties as a coach were creating and facilitating practices with Fox Hills Golf Course while helping on the course on match days. Kristy is currently working towards her LPGA Level One certification.

Athletic Director Lonnie Pries had this to say about welcoming Kristy, "We are very excited to welcome Kelly Kristy to Concordia as our next Head Golf Coach.  Kelly has a great amount of experience with the game of golf and we are looking forward to having her lead our student-athletes and helping them improve their golf game and grow as young men and women."

In addition to coaching, Kristy is an instructor for golf, yoga, fitness, and pilates training. Kristy graduated from Charleston Southern with a degree in Physical Education/Kinesiology.

"I'm thrilled to be at CUAA and grateful for the opportunity to coach golf and grow our program," said Kristy. "Golf is a sport that requires patience, perseverance, and athletic ability. My vision is to create a culture where athletes pump each other up, work hard in and out of season, and have the mental strength, through faith and consistent practice, to rise up. I am looking forward to our Spring 2023 season and onward!"
