Men's Golf competes at the Purgatory Invitational

(Noblesville, IN) - The Concordia Cardinals Men's Golf headed to Indiana for their second straight weekend of golfing as they competed at the Purgatory Invitational at the Purgatory Golf Course. The event was originally supposed to have two rounds on Saturday as well but would have to cancel the final rounds due to the weather. 

 

The Cardinals as a team would finish in 13th place with a total score of 339. 

 

CUAA RESULTS

Chase Temple grabbed the top spot for the Cardinals for the second straight week as he posted a score of 81. Zakary Schroeder finished second for CUAA with a score of 84. Neil Heinlein and Joshua Line both posted scores of 87, while Andrew Sweitzer added a score of 88. Gibson Wilke competed as an individual at the event and finished with a score of 94. 

 

TOURNAMENT RECAP

The team championship would go to the host team in Taylor University after posting a score of 294 in the one-round. 

 

Juan Suarez from St. Thomas (FL) posted the lowest score of the round with a score of 71. 

 

NEXT UP

The next time the Cardinals hit the links will be next weekend, April 7-8, in Augusta, Michigan as they will compete at the Battle of the Brae.
